As usual though, the news:

Disney and EA have entered an exclusive multi-year deal to develop a series of new Star Wars games.

Maxis has announced The Sims 4 and opened up registration for a mailing list.

Bethesda has announced a new Wolfenstein game taking place in an alternate version of the 60’s where the Nazis won the war.

We then get to the main topic, Myst. Gameplay, story and get a little deeper with tech focus and dev story.

  1. Absolutely loved this episode, one of the best of the podcast! About my email: in my defense, I was nine when the game was released, so I didn’t really have the patience and/or understanding to pick up on all the clues that would allow me to leave the island. 😉 I have since gone back and finished it (taking a whole bunch of notes just as you did), and I completely agree that it does hold up. It truly is a timeless classic.
Also, I’m super thrilled that the next game you’ll cover is Dungeon Keeper. I was in the car at a red light, windows down, when I heard that, and went “woooohoo!” to the puzzlement of passing pedestrians. Will definitely be writing in, perhaps even a voice mail if I’m feeling brave enough. 🙂 Thanks for all your hard work!!
